A Level Results 2025

At Bluecoat Sixth Form, inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do—and results day is a powerful reminder of why that matters. It’s not just about grades; it’s about celebrating the incredible journeys our students have taken over the past two years.

This year, we have so much to be proud of. Our students have worked with determination, resilience, and ambition, and their results reflect the growth, character, and commitment they’ve shown throughout their time with us. I am genuinely proud of each and every one of them—not just for their outcomes, but for the way they’ve embraced challenges, supported one another, and stayed true to their goals.

It has been a privilege to walk alongside them as they’ve pursued aspirations in careers such as finance, engineering, early years education, psychology, and beyond. As they now take their next steps into higher education, degree apprenticeships, and employment, I have every confidence they will continue to thrive and make a meaningful impact in their chosen fields.

Below are just a few of the many success stories from this results day.

Morad

We are thrilled for Morad who leaves us with AAB in Biology, Mathematics and Chemistry, and will study Dentistry at the University of Birmingham. Morad found his passion for Dentistry during his work experience placement in Year 10, and has worked tirelessly to achieve the grades required to pursue this career aspiration.

Rachel

Rachel secured the grades needed in her Biology, Chemistry and Sociology A Levels to pursue her dream to become a Vet. She will study Veterinary Medicine and Surgery at the University of Nottingham and we couldn’t be more pleased for her. She is such a deserving young person whose enthusiasm for life is infectious.

Gabriel

Gabriel has worked incredibly hard across the two years with us and is an example of the impact of consistent effort at A Level. Alongside studying, he’s still found time to socialise and get involved in extra activities; he’s entertained us with his talent for singing. We are extremely proud that he leaves us with A*AA and will be studying Psychology at University of Nottingham – his first choice university.

Ming Dong

Ming Dong challenges himself both in the classroom and beyond. He has not only balanced studying four challenging A Levels but has consistently performed highly in them all. He leaves this summer with an A*ABC. His A* is in Sociology, which he will continue to study at his first choice destination Warwick University.

Jess

A kind-hearted student who exhibits all our values, Jess hasn’t had an easy year but has persisted with support to achieve fantastic results. We are delighted to see her efforts rewarded today with grades AAB in English Lit, History and RE, which is even better than she was predicted. She’s heading all the way to her first choice University Aberdeen to study Archaeology, and we can’t wait to hear all about her discoveries!

Sakina

Sakina is compassionate, empathetic, and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others. She is determined to pursue a career in Midwifery and has shown resilience to overcome barriers in getting to university. She spent a year with us at Level 2 building a strong foundation of knowledge in the subject area and achieving an A*, allowing her to progress onto the T Level programme. The NHS placement on this course has allowed her to demonstrate her capability in the industry and to secure a place studying Midwifery at University of Southampton.

Scarlet

Scarlet is one of those people who consistently strives to be her best, both academically and in the way she interacts with others. Having achieved Distinction in Education T Level with Early Years occupational specialism, her next step is Early Childhood Studies at Nottingham Trent University. Her positivity and kindness are infectious so we’ve no doubt she will have a wonderful impact on the lives of many children.

Bright

A Bluecoat Aspley student from Year 7, Bright has been with us for the long-haul! Having studied on our Level 2 programme before progressing to Level 3, he leaves with a Distinction Merit in Applied Science and a D in Product Design. Bright is such an active member of our community that fellow students voted him ‘Most likely to work for Bluecoat’, and he did an excellent job of co-hosting our Bluecoat’s Got Talent event with his friend and fellow student. Bright is heading to first choice Manchester Metropolitan University to study Sports Business Management.

Jade

Jade’s teachers have consistently told us how impressed they are with her dedication to her studies, and she was voted the hardest working student in our Leaver’s Awards by staff. At the end of the summer term, she was given the Head Teacher’s Award Outstanding contribution to school life.  Jade has faced difficult personal circumstances this year, yet we are thrilled that her results still demonstrate her ability. With Distinction* Distinction * in Sport and Distinction in Business BTEC, Jade goes on to continue her love of Sports Science and Coaching at first choice destination Nottingham Trent University.

Kavan

Kavan was given the Year Leader Award this summer to recognise his contribution to the Sixth Form. He is one of those students who quietly leads the way outside the spotlight with dignity and grace. Kavan goes to University of Derby to study Sport Therapy and Rehabilitation having achieved Distinction* Distinction and C in Psychology. As someone who consistently looks out for others, he will be well-suited to this field, and we can’t wait to hear where it takes him. We know he will do well, as he started his degree reading the moment his A Levels were over!
